A trilateral summit will be held in March bringing together Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey to establish a "tripartite mechanism" to cooperate on the migrant crisis, Daily Sabah reports, citing diplomatic sources.
The daily notes this comes against the background of "a new wave of refugees due to Russian military interference".
Separately, the head of the Turkish Migration Management Directorate is traveling to Greece on Thursday to meet officials and discuss possible common precautions with regard to refugees to use the Mediterranean route to enter Europe from Turkey.
Earlier, Greece declared it would move to deem Turkey a "safe country" to be able to send back migrants there.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Monday said the number of migrants and refugees arriving to Europe might go beyond the one million mark this year as it did in 2015.
